Ing. Jan Kazda, CSc. has graduated at the University of Agriculture Prague with honors in 1986. Since 1989 he worked as a technician at the Department of Plant Protection, where he defended his doctoral thesis in Agricultural and Forest Phytopathology and Plant Protection in 1993. In 1990 he has stayed on internship at the University of Bonn at the Department of Entomology and Nemathology. Since 1994 he is working at the Department of Plant Protection (CULS), his specialization is nemathology, entomology and plant protection.
At University of Life Sciences he lectures in all fields of study of Plant protection.
He is specialised mainly in study of protection against pest and plant diseases of oilseed rape and cereals. He is consultant for oilseed rape protection in Union of Oilseed Growers and Processors.
He is member of Czech Scientific and Technical Society for Phytopathology and member of Phytopathology board of Ministry of Agriculture. He is also member of Czech Phytomedical Society.
He has published more than 400 scientific publication in spacialized journals and in conference bulletins.
He is main researcher - coordinator of several grant project since 2000.
