I am a Full Professor at the Department of Zoology and Fisheries, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. My teaching focuses on aquaculture and ichthyology. My research centres on fish, aquatic animals, and human interactions with aquatic systems, with particular emphasis on sustainable aquaculture, biodiversity, and invasive species.
My laboratory work includes cytogenetic and molecular genetic methods, computer-assisted morphometry, and socio-economic data mining.
Since 2018, I have served as Vice-Dean for Quality Assurance.
