Using optical data from the Copernicus programme (Sentinel-2, Sentinel-3), the student derives the relative soil moisture of the selected area and determines the relative humidity of healthy and stressed vegetation. The student determines the dependence of humidity indices and stressed stands on the scale of regions, and try to compare the information with known trends (e.g. bark beetle infestation). The student will evaluate the possibilities of optical data for moisture determination and for mapping of bark beetle-infested stands.
