Ing. Pavel Nový, Ph.D., born 30. 5. 1975 in Prague. He defended his doctoral thesis in 2012 (subject Agriculture of Tropics and Subtropics, ITS, CULS Prague) after previous MSc. Degree (subject Agriculture of Tropics and Subtropics, ITS, CULS Prague). Since 2011 he worked at the Department of Quality of Agriculture Products, FAFNR, CULS Prague, since 2013 as a postdoc at the Department of Crop Production. He teaches the subjects “Biologicaly Active Compounds in Food” and “Quality and Processing of Plant Products”. Research focuses: biologically active natural compounds, antimicrobial activity, chemical analysis, ethnopharmacology. Since 2013 editorial board member of “British Journal of Pharmaceutical Research”.
