Oldrich Rakovec is currently the holder of the Research Excellence in Environmental Sciences (REES) program at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. He is also a member of the Leading Research Group (Hydrological and Climate Variability Group of the Faculty. He is an expert in large-scale hydrologic modelling and parameter estimation (continental, global).  Oldrich is an author of more than 70 scientific papers in high-ranked journals such as Nature Climate Change, Nature Geoscience, Science Advances, and Earth's Future. He is currently one of the EGU's co-conveners on the Large-scale hydrology session, a member of the EGU and AGU and a regular reviewer of scientific journals.
