Lectures and seminars in subjects:
Basic agroecology (FAPPZ)
Agroecology (FAPPZ)
Agroecology outlines the basic conceptual and theoretical framework of agroecology. Agroecology´s whole-systems approach and knowledge of dynamic equilibrium in the environment provide a sound theoretical and conceptual basis for sustainability. Agroecology is the study of ecological processes in agroecosystems, on the other hand it is a change agent for the complex social and ecological shifts that may need to occur in the future to move agriculture to a truly sustainable basis (Gliessman, 2000).
Medical plants (FAPPZ)
The aim of the subject is to introduce students to the issue of cultivation, processing and use of medicinal, aromatic and spice plants in both small-scale and large-scale production conditions. The subject will also be focused on the issue of qualitative requirements from the point of view of further processing of medicinal drugs. Students will learn to identify plants in their green state, as well as dried drugs individually and in mixtures. As part of the subject, there will be an excursion to growers and processors, and students will be introduced to the possibilities of trading these commodities.
