Colonic metabolism of polyphenols and the effect of food matrix
Medicinal plants and bioactive secondary metabolites, analytical separation techniques and phytochemical analysis (GC-MS, HPLC); Microbiology; Lactic acid bacteria metabolite profilling, Cell culture- based assays, Enzyme inhibitiors, Plant antimicrobials.
Member of the COST infogest Action management commitee.
Teaching and University Duties
Until 2016 Associate professor, lecturer of the subjects: Food, Beverages and Nutritional Supplements (BS-level), Healhy Eating and Dietetics (BS-level) and partially the subject Nutrition and Human Nutritional Requirements (BS-level).
