I am a specialist in tropical agronomy, ethnobotany, agrobiodiversity and new crop domestication. I am experienced in experimental laboratory (assays of biological activity of plant extracts, especially antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities), and field studies (agronomic trials, ethnobotanical data collection, PRA techniques, floristic inventories); herbarium voucher specimen preparation and curation of living plant collections, taxonomic botany.
To date I have participated as principal investigator or co-investigator of 8 national projects of which 4 were conducted in rural areas of tropical or subtropical regions with several institutions and scientific and technical staff involved. Partners including the local universities, research institutions, NGOs and small-scale farmers.
As author or co-author I have published 2 chapters within edited books, 14 (1 in press) peer-reviewed original research papers in impact factor journals, 5 other peer-reviewed research papers, 25 conference abstracts and 5 other professional and popular publications (h-index: 6).
