Hranice historie a současnosti. Kde jsou?
Neměli bychom zapomínat na generace lidí, kteří obývali naši krajinu před námi. Lidé, kteří se od nás nijak nelišili a měli ke své krajině vztah stejně jako my. Starali se o ni, upravovali ji k obrazu svému a své potřebě… Občas navzdory drsným přírodním podmínkám, zde pečovali o svůj kus krajiny, a utvářely prostor, který byl jejich domovem. Ať už my dnes nebo naši předci v minulosti zanecháváme v krajině stopy… Stavíme domy, sázíme stromy, oráme pole… I přes to jak se tvář krajiny mění, zůstávají v ní kousky historie. Krajina tak v sobě nese paměť svých lidí, paměť lidstva.
Dnes v této krajině nacházíme po dřívějších obyvatelích často už jen fragmenty jejich domovů. Zbytky domů, střepy nádob, kusy nářadí, staré ovocné stromy, ale i cizokrajné druhy květin v místech starých zahrad… Když navštívíme takové místo, může nás napadnout, že se tu zachovalo něco zvláštního… Je zde doslova hmatatelné propojení historie a současnosti.
Místa starých sídel, která si příroda vzala zpět, jsou připomínkou pomíjivosti každého z nás.
Prvkem, kterým propojuji TEHDY a TEĎ je připomenutí historických půdorysů zaniklých budov pomocí přírodních materiálů nalezených přímo v lokalitě. Největší část mé instalace byla vysekána v trávě. Posečená tráva byla nahrnuta po obvodu a symbolizuje obvodové zdi staveb. Jedná se o ulici s patnácti popisnými čísly, která velmi rychle podlehne přírodním vlivům a zmizí. Pro efekt každoročního opakování byla do linií obvodových zdí vyseta semena luční směsi. Příští jaro a léto zde tedy vykvete stejný půdorys ulice, jako je nyní vysečen. Zda se semínka uchytí, záleží opět pouze na přírodě.
Realizace podléhá času a bude záležet pouze na přírodních procesech, jak dlouho zde instalace vydrží. Dočasnost instalace je připomínkou pomíjivosti.

Landart - The lost village
Borders of history and present. Where are they?
We should not forget the generations of people who inhabited our landscape before us. People who were not different from us and related to their landscape as much as we do. They cared for it, shaped it in their image and to their needs... Sometimes, despite the harsh natural conditions, they tended their piece of the landscape, and shaped the space that was their home. Whether we today or our ancestors in the past, we leave our mark on the landscape... We build houses, plant trees, plough fields... Despite the face of the landscape changing, bits of history remain. The landscape carries the memory of its people, the memory of humanity.
Today, we often only find fragments of the homes of the former inhabitants in this landscape. Remains of houses, shards of containers, pieces of tools, old fruit trees, but also foreign species of flowers in the places of old gardens... When we visit such a place, we may think that something special has been preserved here... There is literally a tangible connection between history and the present.
Places of old settlements that nature has taken back are reminders of the impermanence of each of us.
The element that I use to link TEHDY and NOW is the reminder of the historic floor plans of the vanished buildings using natural materials found on site. The largest part of my installation was cut into the grass. The cut grass was piled around the perimeter to symbolize the outer walls of the buildings. It is a street with fifteen descriptive numbers that very quickly succumbs to natural influences and disappears. Meadow grass seeds were sown into the lines of the perimeter walls for a yearly repetition effect. So next spring and summer the same street plan will bloom here as is now seeded. Whether the seeds take hold is again entirely up to nature.
The implementation is subject to time and will depend only on natural processes as to how long the installation will last here. The temporality of the installation is a reminder of impermanence.
